Chapter 5

“Did my plan work? Are Luke and Noah best friends again?” Ethan was as enthusiastic as his brother on his best day.

“Hey, kiddo, how was the visit with Jacob?” Reid didn’t want to get his hopes up too high. There was a definite truce between Noah and Luke, but that’s all that was certain.

Ethan was thrilled when Chris offered to take him and Jacob out for pizza and a movie. It didn’t matter what movie, as long as there would be action, just enough blood, and plenty of popcorn.

“It was pretty slick of you to get rid of Ethan and make him think it was his idea.”
