The Gus Diaries
Part 129
My Funny Valentine
“Dad, did I get any mail today?”
“Sonny Boy, you’ve asked me that question about fifty times today, and since you
were in school and I was at Kinnetik for a significant part of the day that’s
saying a lot.” Brian pinched the bridge of his nose. “What the fuck is it that
you’re expecting, again?”
“I know Jeff sent me something for... you know.” I couldn’t confess to Dad my
anxiety over not receiving my Valentine’s Day card from Jeff yet. He called on
the big day, told me I should look for something in the mail, and to be patient.
I’ve discovered patience is definitely not one of my virtues, especially when I
want something so badly. Jeff’s basketball schedule has forced us to reduce our
visits to every other weekend. I’m going out of my mind. My right hand and I
have become far better acquainted than I ever wanted.
The phone call was great, but it certainly didn’t compare to the real thing.
Staring out the window, waiting for the postman to come to Britin, I can
remember everything Jeff said.
“Hey, Newbie, Happy Valentine’s Day!”
“Hi, Jeff, Happy Lover’s Day to you too.”
“You sound kind of glum. What’s wrong?” I couldn’t believe he had to ask, but
sometimes Jeff can be clueless.
“It’s just that on a day like today a phone call seems kind of lame. I want to
be with you. We haven’t been together in over a week.”
“I know. I miss you too, Gus.”
“Did you get the package I sent?” I sighed. “It sucks that I couldn’t give it to
you in person.”
“The tickets for the Opening Game for the Pittsburgh Pirates are amazing! I
can’t wait. It’ll also mean this fucked up winter will be over. Hauling my ass
to basketball practice is damn cold, especially early in the morning or late in
the evening.”
“I bet.” I was glad Jeff received my card and gift but he still hadn’t mentioned
sending anything to me. “You know the prom is only a few months away and then
I’m finally going to graduate.”
“And then, thanks to your dad, we get to live on the same floor of the same dorm
-- in singles. I don’t know how he swings this shit, but I love it. He’s
amazing.” Jeff suddenly got silent.
“Jeff, are you still there?”
“Yeah, Newbie. You know your dad may be amazing, but there’s no word to describe
you.”
Okay, that felt better to hear, but I still wondered about the gift thing. I
didn’t expect anything expensive but a card would have been nice.
“Uhm, Gus?”
“Yes, Jeff?”
“I didn’t forget Valentine’s Day. It’s kind of hard to let it get past me with
about a zillion hearts all over every school building.”
“Are you trying to tell me something?” I actually crossed my fingers and closed
my eyes. I can be such a geek sometimes. Even my dad says there are moments I
remind him of Uncle Michael. Oh well, I like Uncle Michael... and Pop, and all
the romantics in the world.
“What I’m trying to tell you is be patient. It took a while to get
something in the works that was just right, but I should be able to mail out
your gift and card tomorrow afternoon. Trust me.”
“I do trust you, Jeff. I just hate going to school tomorrow and having Marci
tease me about being ignored on the big hearts and flowers day.”
“Don’t worry about Marci, you can take her.” We both laughed.
“I’m not always sure that’s true. She can be pretty damn feisty when she wants
to be.”
“Yeah. Doesn’t she have some new boyfriend?”
“Oh shit, I forgot to tell you. She’s actually dating Drew Boyd’s kid brother.
He’s playing football at CMU. It’s a good thing she was offered a full
scholarship. Now she doesn’t have to get her parents help to go to college.”
“It’s a good thing she has people like you and your family in her life.” Jeff
took a deep breath. “I’m pretty damn lucky to have them too.”
“In your case you got the benefit of Grandma Jen and Tucker, and in Marci’s case
she ended up with Grandma Debbie. Marci says she mothers her more than she’s
ever been mothered before.”
“It must be new for your grandmother to be boarding someone straight.”
“Very funny.”
“Well, I am your funny Valentine.”
“Oh my God. I can’t believe you said something so dorky!”
“A part-time dork and a part-time geek as boyfriends; what a pair we make. It’s
a good thing we both have talents elsewhere.” Jeff’s voice became low and a
little raspy.
“Jeff! I’m horny enough without hearing you say things like that.”
“I meant basketball.” Jeff started roaring with laughter but calmed down pretty
soon. “You know Gus we could have a little fun over the phone.”
“Ya think? We’ve never really done this.” I actually felt nervous.
“Are you alone in your room?”
“Sure.”
“Lock the door. My roommate’s out and my door’s already locked.”
I started to feel my jeans tighten at the thought of what was about to happen.
“Now slowly pull down your pants, like you’re teasing me. If you’re wearing
briefs take them off at the same time. I’ve already got my sweats off and look
at that -- no underwear.”
“Oh God. I want to see you, Jeff.”
“Quickly whip your shirt off over your head.” I did as I was told. It was hot
having him tell me what to do. “Put your head on your pillow with the phone next
to your ear and close your eyes. Imagine me, Gus. I’m right there, staring at
your incredible body sprawled out and waiting for me.”
“Oh yeah.” I breathed out the words as I pictured Jeff naked, hovering over me.
My cock started to get harder. “Jeff.”
“That’s right, Newbie, I’m watching you get all hot and bothered. My cock is
already long and hard, waiting to get inside you, hungry to be where it
belongs.”
I started to stroke myself. “I can feel you opening me.”
“Good. Suck on two of your fingers.”
Following orders, I moistened my fingers. Knowing what he would want me to do, a
shiver ran up my spine.
“Are they wet?”
“Yes.”
“Now I’m ready to start pressing inside you. I want you to shove both fingers in
at once and then still so you don’t hurt yourself, just like I always take care
of you.”
My back arched as I tugged once more on my cock, then reached down to push two
fingers inside. “Ahhh!”
“Move them, Gus.”
Oh God.
“Listen to me. In and out, over and over. Make sure to nudge your prostate every
time. I want to take care of what’s mine -- make you happy.”
“Oh, Jeff!”
“Your cock is so hard, so hungry for me.” His breathing was erratic. “I’m
speeding up the pace and jerking you off at the same time. Holding your cock in
my lubed fingers, pumping it with the rhythm of each thrust, faster and faster.”
I stroked my cock a few more times as my fingers pressed inside, following
Jeff’s rhythm. Everything around me started to let go as I felt amazing
sensations running all through my body. I closed my eyes tightly, my entire
being falling over the edge. “Ahhh fuck! Jeff, I love you!” Every part of me
felt like it was shaking, spilling streams of white cream onto my stomach.
“Oh God!” I heard him moan in my ear. It was a beautiful sound.
The two of us were quiet for a while. I heard him breathing into the phone,
matching me, breath for breath.
After recovering my senses, I grabbed my shirt, wiping my hands. Picking up the
phone, I chuckled. “I guess we can do the phone sex thing too.”
Jeff snorted. “I guess you’re right.” He paused briefly. “You do know I love you
and wish I could be there in person.”
“I know. I love you too. Now I’ll just have to look forward to the package
you’re sending out tomorrow.”
“I promise it’ll be worth the wait.”
“I believe you.” I bit my lip. “I still miss you, despite how great this was.”
“I know, Newbie. I miss you too. Call me when you get the gift so I can explain
it.”
“It needs an explanation?” Now I was extremely curious. “Care to give me a
hint?”
“Nope. Just send me a text when it arrives and I’ll call you the minute I can.
Don’t open it without me.”
So now, three days later, I’m constantly driving Dad and Pop crazy while waiting
for the mail to be delivered. I hope the present is everything Jeff built it up
to be.
There he is -- walking up the driveway. I’ve never been so excited to see a mail
carrier before.
Dad happened to walk into the front foyer with Pop behind him. They opened the
door and received the mail before it could be placed into our box.
“Hmmm, it would seem there’s something here addressed to Gus Taylor Kinney. It’s
from some dorm address at CMU. I wonder what it could be?” Dad can be incredibly
irritating.
“It’s a mystery, Brian.”
Pop can be just as irritating.
“Can I have my package now?”
Dad looked directly at me. “Here it is? Before you open it, aren’t you supposed
to contact your beau?”
“You know?”
Dad and Pop both wore shit-eating grins from ear to ear. It was definitely
creepy.
“You both know?”
Pop put a hand on my shoulder and squeezed. “Just send him a text -- now.”
