Fate Wins Out
Part 4
Brian woke up the next morning feeling as if he had been hit by a truck. His head was pounding and he was shaking from within. He glanced at the clock on the nightstand and was surprised to see that it was after noon. He dragged himself out of bed, groaning at the sudden movement. He slowly made his way to the bathroom, hoping to brush the fur off his teeth. Once he was sure he could maneuver the stairs, he started his descent, needing a cup of coffee more than his next breath. When he walked into the kitchen he stopped short at the sight of Justin sitting at the table looking like death. At least he wasn’t the only one paying for the previous evening’s activities. All of a sudden, memories of what happened between them flashed through Brian’s mind and he wasn’t sure what to do next. Before he could decide whether to go for the coffee or turn and run, Justin looked up and jumped at the sight of Brian in the doorway.
“Brian, I didn’t hear you come in. There is fresh coffee
on the counter. Help yourself.” Justin offered, not sure of what to say to the
man. He had been up for about an hour, trying to figure out what to say about
the kiss they had shared. He wasn’t sure if Brian was going to bring it up and
he wanted to be prepared, but how do you apologize for kissing a straight man.
He decided that if Brian didn’t bring it up then neither would he.
“Thanks. How are you feeling?” Brian asked as he found a mug and poured himself
some coffee.
“Like someone used me as a welcome mat. How about you?” He asked with a small
smile.
“I’m not sure. I’m still trying to figure out how big the truck was that hit
me.” Brian replied with a chuckle.
“I guess we kind of went a little overboard on the drinking, huh?” Justin
pointed out.
“Yeah, I guess we did. A lot of last night is kind of fuzzy.” Brian said, hoping
Justin would take the hint and forget about what happened.
“I agree. There seems to be bits and pieces of the night I don’t remember. I
guess we learned our lesson.” Justin stated, relieved that Brian obviously
didn’t remember what had happened between them.
They were sitting there in silence, drinking their coffee when Stacy came into
the room obviously upset about something.
“Brian. I’m so glad you’re up. There’s been an accident.
Your mother is in the hospital. We need to go to New York. She needs us.” Stacy
said, worried about her aunt. They had always been close and even though she was
still mad that Joanie had kept her and Brian apart for all those years, she
still was upset and concerned about the woman.
“The hell I do! I’m not going anywhere near that woman. We haven’t spoken to
each other in ten years and I’ll be damned if I’m going to race to her bedside
just because she was hurt. In fact, I don’t even want you to tell her I’m here.
Just pretend that you haven’t talked to me.” Brian barked, unable to hold in his
anger and hurt. Just the mention of his mother was enough to send him into a
rage.
“But Brian…she’s your mother.” Stacy cried.
“No! She’s not my mother. She stopped being my mother the day she told me I was
dead to her. Now just drop it, please.” Brian grumbled, looking away from the
sad eyes.
“I’ll drive you there. Just give me a few minutes to get ready.” Justin offered
before walking away to give them time to talk.
“Look Stacy. I know you love her and I don’t have a problem with that, but you
can’t expect me to forget about the way she washed her hands of me because I
didn’t meet with her expectations. Now you go play the good little niece and
I’ll stay here and make myself at home.” Brian said as he kissed her cheek.
“Okay. I guess I can’t change your mind. Just do me a favor and think about at
least calling her. I am sure that after all this time she would be happy to hear
from you.” Stacy said before walking out of the kitchen. She would abide by his
wishes and keep quiet about being in touch with Brian, but she really wished she
knew what caused the rift between mother and son.
Justin finally pulled into the driveway at 2:00am and he was exhausted. He spent
most of his day in the car driving back and forth to New York. He knew he
couldn’t let his pregnant wife take the six hour drive by herself and she needed
to be with her family. Her aunt had broken her hip in the accident and Stacy
agreed to spend the week in the city helping out around the house while Joanie
was in the hospital. By the time Justin had gotten her settled and said his
goodbyes, it was almost 8:00pm. He thought about spending the night and driving
home in the morning, but Stacy was worried about Brian being alone in the house.
When Justin walked into the house, he found a very drunk Brian sitting in the
semi dark living room, lost in thought. He approached the man and sat down on
the couch next to him without saying a word. He could see a mixture of emotions
in Brian’s eyes and remained silent, waiting for the man to speak his mind. He
didn’t have to wait long.
“I can’t call her. I tried, but I can’t do it. Why should I? She never cared
about me. As soon as she found out my little secret, she washed her hands of me.
I thought parents were supposed to love their children unconditionally. They are
supposed to stand by their children no matter what. Not Joanie, though. Once you
let her down, she tosses you away like yesterday’s garbage!” Brian exclaimed,
his voice cracking with emotion.
“Brian. Everyone makes mistakes. Maybe enough time has passed that she has had
time to rethink her decision. You will never know unless you call her. She’s
your mother. Give her a chance to make things right.” Justin said softly, hoping
that he was giving the right advice. He looked over at Brian again and noticed a
single tear running down the man’s cheek.
“I gave her a chance. Lots of chances. Every year I would send a Christmas card,
always putting my address and phone number inside. She never once bothered to
contact me. It’s been ten years. How long am I supposed to wait for acceptance?”
Brian asked, looking into Justin’s blue eyes. He wanted to take the man in his
arms. After the kiss they shared the night before, Brian hadn’t been able to get
Justin out of his head. He knew it was ridiculous to feel the way he was
feeling, but he was drawn to the man like no other and couldn’t seem to accept
that they would never be together.
“I wish I knew what to say to make this easier for you. Maybe Stacy could talk
to her. They’ve always been very close. If you explain everything to Stacy,
maybe she could help.” Justin suggested, knowing how convincing his wife could
be.
“No! I don’t want Stacy to be involved. I couldn’t handle losing her again.
We’ve already been apart for ten years. I’m not willing to risk pushing her
away, too. She can never know the truth.” Brian said as he rose from the couch
and headed into the kitchen.
Justin sat there in silence, surprised by the reaction he received from Brian. A
few moments later the man returned with a bottle of Scotch in his hand. He
dropped back down on the couch, took a swig from the bottle and handed it to
Justin in silent invitation. Justin took a couple of sips from the bottle then
placed it on the table out of Brian’s reach. He wanted to continue the
conversation and didn’t think it was a good idea for Brian to drink anymore.
Apparently, he had had enough before Justin got home.
“Brian. Stacy loves you. You could never push her away. If you just talked to
her, I am sure she would understand whatever it is you don’t want her to know.”
Justin tried once again to make Brian see that he needed to be honest with her
and try to work on the problems he was having with his family.
“You think she’s going to understand that her cousin’s a fag?” Brian yelled,
jumping up from the couch and walking over to the window. He stood there staring
outside, trying to decide what to do next. He never had any intentions of
telling Justin that he was gay. It had just slipped out and now he was worried
about how the man would react.
Justin sat there in shock, unable to absorb what he had just heard. His mind
flashed back to the kiss they had shared and it all made sense. Brian had pulled
him in for the kiss. He was the one who had initiated it. Brian was gay. Those
words kept replaying over in over in his mind until he realized that Brian had
begun speaking again.
“Look, Justin. I didn’t mean to blurt it out like that. It’s just a sensitive
subject for me. That’s why my parents disowned me. Everything fell apart when I
told them I was gay. That’s why I don’t want Stacy to know. I don’t think I
could handle the look of disappointment in her eyes. Promise me you won’t tell
her and I’ll be out of your way by the morning.” Brian spoke softly, with his
back to Justin. He couldn’t bring himself to turn around and see the look of
disgust in his face. The same look he saw on his parents’ face so long ago.
Justin stood up and walked over to where Brian was standing. Coming up behind
him he gently placed his hand on the man’s shoulder, trying to find the right
words to let him know he understood. “So the kiss last night…”
“I’m sorry about that. I didn’t mean for it to happen. You were busting on me
about not always doing what I wanted and all I wanted at that moment was to kiss
you. I was so drunk that I wasn’t thinking about the consequences.” Brian
explained, hoping Justin understood what he was saying. When he didn’t get a
response he turned around, searching Justin’s face for any signs of
understanding. What he saw there confused him even more.
When Brian turned around, Justin looked into the man’s eyes and did what he had
wanted to do ever since their kiss ended the night before. He reached up and
took Brian’s mouth in a passionate kiss. The minute their lips met, Justin felt
a jolt of heat rush through his body and moaned at the power this man had over
him. He was so overwhelmed by what was happening that he pulled back, looking
into Brian’s eyes for his reaction.
Brian felt Justin’s lips meet his and all thoughts left his mind except for the
passion he felt for the blond. He felt his cock harden and was overcome with a
need so strong he wasn’t sure if he would be able to control himself. Before he
could react, he felt Justin pull away.
“Justin?” He asked, trying to make sense of what was happening between them.
“Don’t speak. Just kiss me.” Justin demanded, and was rewarded when Brian’s lips
found his. The second kiss was more heated then the first and Justin parted his
lips to allow Brian entry. As the kiss deepened, Justin felt something stir
inside of him. Something he had never felt before and he wanted to explore his
feelings more than he wanted to take his next breath. He felt Brian’s hand slide
down his back and cup his ass and knew he wanted to take their attraction to the
next level. He groaned at the contact and was startled when he was pushed away
suddenly.
“Justin. What is happening here? You are married for Christ sake…to a woman! To
my cousin!” Brian exclaimed, walking away to put some distance between them. He
needed to clear his head and try to make some sense of what was going on.
“Brian. I know you are confused right now. Believe me, I am too. I just know
that this feels right. We can talk later. Right now, I need you more then I’ve
ever needed anything else in my life. Please don’t push me away.” Justin
pleaded, surprised by his forwardness.
Brian heard Justin pleading and knew that he wouldn’t be able to refuse him
anything. Taking Justin by the hand, he silently led the man up the stairs and
to his room, closing the door behind him. Once they were behind the closed door,
Brian took him in his arms and kissed him with everything he had. In all his
life, he had never needed anyone the way he needed Justin, so he pushed aside
any doubts that he had and slowly began to undress him.
After removing Justin‘s clothes, Brian stood back to enjoy the view while
removing his own. When they were both standing there naked, Brian gently pushed
Justin down on the bed, following him down so they were stretched out side by
side. Brian started kissing every inch of Justin’s body, starting at his lips
and moving his way down to his neck, shoulders, and stomach stopping just shy of
the man’s leaking cock. He looked up at Justin, searching for any signs of
doubt. All he saw in the man’s face was lust. He smiled at him before dipping
his head and placing a light kiss on his cock. Hearing the moan that escaped
Justin’s lips encouraged Brian to go further and Brian wrapped his mouth around
the engorged member, taking it so deep that the tip hit the back of his throat.
He groaned at the feel of the ridged shaft in his mouth.
Justin was lost in the sensations that Brian was causing within him. Having the
other man’s mouth on his body felt so right and so good that when Brian wrapped
his mouth around his cock, Justin thought he would explode. Everything he was
feeling was a new experience for him and he was drowning in the heat that Brian
was causing. He was brought out of his trance when Brian released his dick and
came back up to kiss him.
“Justin. Have you ever been with a man before?” Brian asked, already sure that
he knew the answer.
“No.” Justin whispered in reply, blushing at his inexperience.
Brian wanted to make Justin’s first time something special and knew just what to
do. “Roll over.” He demanded in a gentle voice.
Justin did as he was told and stretched out on his stomach, his hard-on pressed
into the mattress, his excitement at what was to come next sending chills down
his spine. He felt Brian kiss the back of his neck before trailing his tongue
down his spine in slow torture. Not knowing what to expect, Justin was shocked
when he felt Brian spread his ass cheeks and slowly lick him from the small of
his back to his balls before bringing his tongue back up and placing it at his
throbbing hole. Justin was about to protest when he felt Brian’s tongue dip
inside, causing his body to jerk at the heat it had caused. All thoughts left
him as the tongue continued its assault on his quivering hole, pushing in and
out in a steady rhythm.
Brian enjoyed the reaction Justin was having as he trailed his tongue down his
back to his balls before finding the place he was searching for. He thrust his
tongue in the tight hole and felt the man’s body jerk in response at the
intrusion. He found his rhythm and started thrusting in and out, trying to
prepare Justin for the next step. Once he was sure Justin couldn’t take much
more, he pulled back and got off the bed in search of the supplies that he
always kept for such occasions. Hearing Justin protest, he couldn’t help but
chuckle.
“I’m not going anywhere. Roll on to your back and I’ll be right there.” Brian
assured him as he found what he was looking for. Turning back to the bed, he was
struck by the beauty of the man waiting there for him. Without hesitation, he
climbed back on the bed and settled in between Justin’s legs. He rolled the
condom on his aching cock and spread some lube on his fingers, warming it before
slowly thrusting inside the waiting hole. First one finger, then a second moved
in and out, stretching the hole further causing Justin to moan in pleasure. Once
Brian was sure Justin was ready, he withdrew his fingers and placed the man’s
legs on his shoulders, his cock waiting at his entrance.
“Justin. Are you sure this is what you want?” Brian asked, needing to know that
Justin was certain of his decision.
“Yes.” Justin breathed, anxious to have Brian inside of him.
“Okay. Just relax. It’s going to hurt at first, but I promise it will get
better.” Brian replied with a tender smile.
Brian began to push inside the tight hole, moving slowly and allowing Justin
time to adjust to his size. Once he was completely buried in the warm hole he
waited for a sign that Justin was ready to continue. After a few moments, he
felt Justin begin to push back and he knew it was safe to begin. He started to
thrust in and out, slowly at first, then picking up speed as he felt Justin
meeting his thrusts. The fire between them was incredible and Brian knew neither
one of them were going to last long. Justin felt so good, so tight, and so
right. He couldn’t believe how good Justin felt. He reached between their bodies
and grabbed Justin’s cock, jerking him off in time with his thrusts. Justin
moaned and groaned. The sound was a symphony to Brian’s ears. He could feel his
balls tighten and wanted them to come together. He increased his pace, pounding
into Justin with everything he had. Justin kept pace with Brian, not wanting it
to end, but he knew he was close. This feeling was out of this world and he
didn’t want to come back to reality. Brian felt Justin’s muscles tighten around
his cock as he came, causing him to fall over the edge into his own mind blowing
orgasm. He collapsed on top of Justin, trying to get his breathing under
control. Their hands intertwined on their own violation. Brian let it happen. He
didn’t want to lose the connection. He stayed inside Justin as long as he could
before rolling away to dispose of the condom. He came back to the bed and took
Justin in his arms, both of them lost in the afterglow of their love making.
Justin was lost in thought. He couldn’t believe that he just had sex with a man
after all these years. He felt alive for the first time in his life. Brian was
everything Justin had hoped he would be and he was basking in the afterglow when
he heard the phone ring. Brian rolled off Justin, allowing him to run from the
room to answer. He raced into his and Stacy’s bedroom and reached for the phone.
“Hello?” He said, trying to catch his breath.
“Hi, Honey. I’m sorry to call so late. I woke up to go to the bathroom and
wanted to call and make sure you got home okay. Otherwise, I would probably be
up the rest of the night worrying. How was the drive home?” Stacy asked, happy
that Justin had made it home okay.
“Stacy…uh…the drive was fine. Sweetheart, shouldn’t you be sleeping. You need to
get your rest for the baby.” Justin replied, overcome with a sense of guilt. He
felt terrible for what happened between him and Brian, even though Stacy was
constantly telling him he needed to find someone to explore his feelings with.
He had a feeling that she didn’t mean her cousin when she encouraged him.
“I know. I was just worried about you. How’s Brian? Is he okay?” She asked,
wondering if he was having any regrets about not going to see his mother.
“Um…he’s okay…I guess. He was…uh…sleeping when I got home. I mean, I think he
was sleeping. His door was closed.” Justin stammered.
“Is everything alright, Justin? You seem distracted.” Stacy questioned.
“I’m just tired. It was a long drive. I’ll call you in the morning, okay?”
Justin replied, wanting to get off the phone before he dig himself into a deeper
hole.
“Alright, sweetie. Sweet dreams. I will talk to you in the morning.” Stacy said.
She felt there was something wrong with her husband but didn’t want to push.
“Sweet dreams.” Justin replied before hanging up the phone. He took a deep
breath and got up from the bed, jumping at the sight of Brian standing in the
doorway wearing nothing but a blue silk robe.
“That was Stacy.” Brian stated. It wasn’t a question.
“Yeah. She wanted to make sure I got home okay.” Justin explained, unable to
look Brian in the eye.
“I think we need to talk.” Brian said, noticing the regret in Justin’s face.
“I think we do, too. Now is not the time. It’s 3:30 in the morning and it’s been
a long day. I think we need to sleep first. Don’t you?” Justin asked, wishing he
could get back the closeness he had felt just minutes before.
“Yeah, I guess so. Are you alright?” Brian asked, concerned about what Justin
was feeling.
“I’m not sure. I don’t know what to say to you. I didn’t plan for that to
happen.” Justin tried to explain how he was feeling. The guilt was building
quickly and he didn’t know what to do about it.
“I didn’t plan for it either, but I can’t say that I’m sorry it happened. Look,
Justin. I don’t know what is going on with you and Stacy and I sure don’t want
to see either of you hurt by what happened between us, but I don’t know if I can
pretend that we didn’t make love tonight. I’ve been attracted to you since you
walked into the kitchen Friday afternoon and obviously there is something there
for you, too. We need to figure out what happens next.” Brian said, wanting
Justin to understand that he felt like they shared something more then just a
fuck. He walked over to where Justin was standing and placed a soft kiss on his
lips before turning and walking out of the room.
Justin spent the next couple of hours tossing and turning, unable to fall
asleep. He mind raced with thoughts of Brian. Knowing he was sleeping down the
hall was killing Justin. Climbing out of bed, he through on his robe and walked
out of the bedroom and ran into Brian coming out of the bathroom.
“Hey. What are you doing up?” Justin said quietly.
“I couldn’t sleep. What about you?” Brian asked.
“I couldn’t sleep, either. Stacy knows, ya know. She knows I‘m gay and she‘s
alright with it. She‘s even tried to make me go out and meet someone. I just
feel weird about it now. After what happened, I guess I feel funny sleeping in
the room I‘ve always shared with Stacy,” Justin replied.
Brian looked Justin in the eyes before reaching out and taking his hand. He
slowly led the blond to the guest room in silence. Neither one said a word as
they slipped out of their robes and climbed into bed. Brian opened his arms and
Justin went willingly, placing his head on his chest. They drifted off to sleep,
content to be in each other’s arms.
