Coming Out
Chapter 39
Moving day had finally arrived and as Brian laid in bed waiting for Justin to
get out of the shower, his mind replayed over the last two months. As soon as
they found out about the apartment, Brian talked to Marty about increasing his
hours. He wanted to be able to pay the rent without having to live on hot dogs
seven nights a week. Marty was happy for his favorite up and coming executive
and not only increased his client load a bit, keeping in mind that he had school
work to contend with, but gave him a raise in appreciation for all the hard work
that he did. Brian was now bringing home a nice paycheck and wasn’t as worried
about paying the bills.
On top of that, Marty had agreed to hire Justin back part time, giving him the
job as assistant to the assistant art director. Brian knew that Marty had
created the position for Justin since the assistant art director never had an
assistant before and wondered if Cynthia had anything to do with it. Justin had
been willing to take back his position as errand boy, but Marty insisted that
someone with Justin’s talents shouldn’t be stifled by doing errands. Brian
couldn’t agree more. Justin would learn a lot more as an assistant than if he
were to spend his days making copies and getting coffee.
Brian had told Justin about the money from his parents and the two of them went
out shopping for furniture during Thanksgiving break, taking advantage of all
the Black Friday sales. Their landlord was a nice older gentleman and agreed to
allow them to store their furniture a couple of weeks early so that when they
actually moved in, there wasn’t any confusion with delivery schedules. In the
two weeks since school let out for winter break, Brian and Justin, with
Jennifer’s help, managed to buy all the smaller things that they needed, like
their dishes and flatware. There was nothing left to do but to move their
personal belongings, such as their clothes and computers, and Craig had rented a
van for that to make it easier.
Brian was so lost in thought he never heard the knock at the door and was
surprised when Justin was standing alongside his bed.
“Hey, where were you? I knocked but you didn’t answer.”
“Sorry, I was just thinking about everything that’s happened in the last couple
of months. I can’t believe its moving day already,” Brian said as he sat up on
the edge of the bed, pulling Justin down beside him.
“I know. It feels like everything is happening so fast,” Justin agreed.
“You’re not having second thoughts, are you?” Brian asked.
“Hell no! I can’t wait for us to spend our first night alone in our own place.
It’s all that I’ve been thinking about since Mom and Dad took us to see the
apartment.”
“So, what exactly have you been thinking?” Brian prodded, his voice growing
husky at the implications.
“Oh you know; the usual. Who’s going to do the laundry, wash the dishes, fuck me
senseless in every corner of the place,” Justin laughed.
“Well, I don’t know about the laundry or the dishes, but I’m sure I can handle
the fucking you senseless part,” Brian replied with a twinkle in his eyes.
“I bet you could, Stud. Now get in the shower already. The longer it takes to
get moved in, the longer it will take for my parents to leave us alone.”
“Yes sir. Just think. The next time I take a shower, I’ll have someone to help
me wash my back,” Brian said with a devious smile.
“Oh, did you meet the new neighbors already?” Justin teased before bolting from
the room, just missing the pillow that was thrown at him.
Brian couldn’t help but laugh. It was going to be a wonderful day.
By late-afternoon, everything was moved in and Jennifer was doing her best to
clean up around the apartment and help the boys unpack. After receiving a
pleading look from his roommate, Justin decided it was time to casually suggest
that his mother and father go home.
“Mom, we can take it from here. Brian and I aren’t sure where we want everything
to go yet.”
“Sweetheart, that’s okay. I don’t mind staying for awhile and helping you. It’s
a big job and you both have to work on Monday. I’ll just finish…”
“Honey, I think what Justin is trying to say is that he wants us to leave so
that he and Brian can finally be alone in their own apartment,” Craig said,
interrupting his wife’s offer to do more.
“Oh,” Jennifer said, blushing slightly. “I’m sorry. I didn’t think about it. You
probably want to do this yourselves, don’t you? Silly me, what was I thinking?”
Brian could sense that Jennifer felt a little slighted and stepped in to try to
make her feel a little better. “Jennifer we really appreciate all that you’ve
done for us, but we just want to do this on our own, you know? We’re adults now
with a place of our own. If we can’t even unpack our own things we might as well
just move back to the house.”
“I know; you’re right. I just…I don’t think I’m ready to let you boys go,”
Jennifer admitted softly.
“Mom, I’ve been living across the country for months now at school. You weren’t
this upset when you left me at Brooks,” Justin sighed.
“That was different. Even though you weren’t living with us, it was still your
home. All your things were still there. We knew you’d be back for vacations and
holidays. Besides, Brian was still with us. This just seems so final. My little
boy…both my boys are all grown up now and they don’t need me anymore.” The tears
that had been threatening all day began to silently roll down her cheeks.
“Oh Mom, please don’t cry. We may not be living at home anymore, but we’re still
going to need you. Brian and I don’t have a clue as to how to run an apartment.
We’ll be calling you all the time just to ask stupid questions like how long to
cook a roast,” Justin said, trying to offer some comfort.
“Yeah, you’ll be so sick of us that you’ll probably end up changing your phone
number just for some peace and quiet,” Brian added with a chuckle.
“Come here, you two,” Jennifer said as she pulled both her boys in for a big
hug. “I’m going to miss having you around the house.”
“We’ll miss you too, Mom. But look on the bright side. You won’t have to spend
nearly as much time cleaning with only one kid at home…although Molly can really
be a slob, can’t she?” he teased, eliciting a small laugh from his mother.
“Alright, enough of this mushy stuff; let’s go, Jenn. Molly won’t be home for
hours yet and we finally have the house all to ourselves,” Craig said, breaking
up the touching scene before he started feeling melancholy, too.
After a quick round of goodbyes, Justin walked his parents out to the parking
lot and waited until they were out of sight before heading back inside. As he
closed the door behind him, he spotted Brian lying naked on the couch, giving
him a lustful glare.
“I didn’t think they’d ever leave,” Brian said huskily as he began stroking his
cock.
“I think I’m really going to like living on our own,” Justin replied as he
stripped off his own clothes.
No more words were exchanged as the two of them christened their living room in
Brian and Justin fashion and then drifted off to sleep in each others arms.
A few hours later, Justin woke up on the couch to find Brian beside him,
watching him sleep.
“Have you been up long?”
“No, only for a couple of minutes. I was just about to pinch myself to make sure
I wasn’t dreaming,” Brian replied as his hand drew lazy circles on Justin’s
stomach. “I can’t believe that we’re really here.”
“I know. After all the shit that’s been thrown at us since we met, it feels
great to know that we’ve come this far. If this is a dream, I don’t ever want to
wake up,” Justin said before being interrupted by the phone ringing. “Oh, it’s
our first call in our new apartment. I’ll get it.” He jumped up excitedly and
raced over to the kitchen to take the call.
Brian stayed where he was, thinking about what Justin had said. They did have a
lot of shit thrown at them, but they managed to work through it all and come out
of it stronger than ever. It still amazed him at how lucky he was to have found
Justin when he did. He could hear Justin’s voice coming through the room, but
couldn’t make out what he was saying. After a few minutes, he heard the phone
being hung up and waited for Justin to reappear.
“We’d better get cleaned up and dressed. Daphne and Cynthia will be here in an
hour,” Justin explained.
“Somehow I knew that they wouldn’t be able to stay away,” Brian laughed as he
got up and walked towards Justin. “They’d better be bringing dinner, at least.”
“Yep, but I vetoed their idea for pizza.”
“Why?”
“It’s our first meal in our own place. I at least want to be able to set the
table and use our dishes and flatware,” Justin replied with a smile.
“Oh jeez, Martha Stewart’s at it again,” Brian teased, kissing Justin to take
the sting out of his words. He walked over and opened the refrigerator to get a
bottle of water and was surprised to find a bottle of Champaign inside with a
note attached. “Hey, look what I found.”
“Let me see.” Justin reached for the note and smiled as he read what was written
there.
Boys,
I don’t usually condone underage drinking, but I thought I’d make an exception
just this once. Enjoy your first night in your new place.
Love,
Dad
“How sweet,” Brian said as he put the bottle back inside the refrigerator.
“Should we serve it with dinner?”
“No, let’s save it until the girls leave. That’s when the celebration will
officially begin. We still have to christen our bed.”
“Our bed…I like the sound of that,” Justin smiled.
“Me too, now let’s go get cleaned up so we can set your table all nice and
pretty before our guests arrive. If we hurry, we might have time for a quick
blow job before they get here.”
“Why didn’t you say so? Come on,” Justin said as he dragged Brian down the hall
to the shower.
Daphne and Cynthia hung around for dinner and a movie, then noticed that Brian
and Justin were giving each other those looks they had that meant that they were
oblivious to those around them. The girls knew it was their cue to leave before
they were witness to the Brian and Justin show. As hot as they imagined it would
be, they didn’t have a desire to see their friends devour each other in person.
Once they were alone again, Justin set about locking up while Brian brought the
Champaign and two classes down to their room. Justin took an extra moment to
look around at the home he and Brian were setting up and smiled to himself. Life
couldn’t get any better.
“Are you coming to bed?” Brian called out from the bedroom.
“Yeah, I’ll be there in a minute,” Justin replied as he walked over to the phone
and dialed the number he knew by heart.
“Hello?”
“Hey Mom, I just wanted to call and say goodnight.”
“Oh Honey, thank you. I’m sorry about earlier. I didn’t mean to make such a big
scene,” Jennifer said still feeling a little foolish.
“Its okay, Mom. We understand. It’s got to be hard letting go of two kids as
great as us,” Justin teased.
“You have no idea,” Jennifer replied seriously. “Tell Brian that I said good
night and I love you both.”
“We love you too. Good night.” Justin hung up the phone, satisfied that he
cheered his mother up a bit and made his way down to the bedroom. What he saw
there stopped him in his tracks.
Brian was standing by the window, holding two glasses of champaign, and wearing
nothing but a smile. The room was lit up by numerous candles that were spread
throughout the room and there was soft music playing in the background. The king
size bed that they’d placed in the center of the room was made up in black satin
sheets with the covers pulled back and white rose petals thrown about. It was a
vision right out of a romance novel and if it was possible, Justin fell even
more in love with the man responsible.
“Do you like it?” Brian asked, interrupting Justin’s thoughts.
“I love it…and I love you,” Justin replied softly.
Brian approached Justin and handed him a glass. “Happy first night in our new
home, Justin.”
Justin couldn’t reply past the lump in his throat so he just tapped Brian glass
with his own and took a sip of his drink. Brian took a sip as well, then led
Justin over to the bed and gently shoved him down. Justin looked around and
realized that Brian must have been planning the night for awhile and smiled up
at his boyfriend. “I don’t think I’ve ever been this happy.”
“I know what you mean. I know that life isn’t always going to be as easy as it’s
been lately, but as long as I have you…nothing else matters.”
Justin nodded in agreement then looked away momentarily, trying to fight the
overwhelming emotions that were washing over him when he spotted a bowl sitting
on the nightstand. “What’s in the bowl?”
“Condoms. No more searching for supplies in the heat of the moment. I want
everything right at our fingertips so that nothing can distracts us while we
make love.”
“Well, nothing’s distracting us now. Make love to me, Brian.”
“Your wish is my command,” Brian replied as he covered his lover with his body
and together they spent the night christening their bed over, and over again.
