Love
Chapter Five
“So, what are we going to do?” Justin asked over the roar of the bike. Because Spike was a vampire, he had exceptional hearing and would have been able to hear a pin drop over the wind and the bike’s engine.
Spike smirked at Justin’s question but didn’t answer; knowing Justin would have a hard time hearing him. Justin sighed and decided to try and wait patiently. A few minutes later, the bike was pulled over, parked and the engine was turned off. Justin looked around bewildered as he took in a… forest.
After they had both gotten off the motorcycle, Justin looked at Spike. “Okay. Where are we?”
Spike walked to the back of the bike and unhooked a leather bag and said, “Follow me.” With complete trust, Justin did just that. After walking for about ten minutes, Spike stopped and Justin gasped at the breathtaking view. There was a cliff that overlooked Pittsburgh. Lights from all over the city were clearly visible and there was a lake below the cliff. It was breathtaking.
“Wow! I’ve lived here my whole life and have never seen this. How did you find it?”
Spike shrugged. “I went snooping on my way into town and stumbled on it. I thought we’d have a picnic.”
“A picnic?” asked the younger blond.
Spike held up the black satchel. “Didn’t you notice this on my bike?”
Justin blushed. “Not really. I was too busy noticing… you.”
Spike smiled. “Now that’s what I like to hear.” Spike pulled a blanket from the satchel and spread it out close enough to the cliff to see the lights, but not close enough for anyone to accidentally fall. Justin couldn’t seem to erase the smile that was a sudden fixture on his face as Spike unloaded the satchel and set the food on the blanket.
“I remember that you like all kinds of food, so I brought fried chicken, cheddar mashed potatoes, biscuits and chocolate crème pie for dessert. Sound good?”
“Oh yeah,” sighed Justin. Justin couldn’t help but get flushed as he thought about eating the pie off of Spike’s gorgeous body. Unknown to Justin, Spike was having the same thoughts. Only in Spike’s mind, he was the one eating pie off of Justin. After the food had all been taken out of the satchel and the containers opened, Justin and Spike started eating. Even though food held no nourishment for Spike, the vampire still enjoyed the taste of it.
They sat in a comfortable silence for a while, as they ate. After Justin had swallowed his last bite of chicken, he spoke. “This has been wonderful, Spike, and very romantic.”
“Good. That’s what I was going for.”
“Oh, I'm very impressed,” Justin said. After a slight hesitation, Justin got up on his knees, leaned over, and touched his lips to Spike’s. Their lips pressed together for a moment, before completely fusing together. Spike gently tugged Justin over until Justin was sitting on his lap, straddling him. Spike brushed his tongue over Justin’s bottom lip, causing Justin to open his mouth. Their tongues started stroking each other and thoroughly licking the inside of each other’s mouths. Justin was panting in arousal and it was evident, if the pressure pushing against Justin’s lower stomach was anything to go by, that Spike was deeply aroused, also. Needing to catch his breath, Justin broke the kiss.
“Wow,” was all Justin was able to say.
Spike smirked and Justin found himself moaning at the sight. Spike looked so sexy when he smirked, hell Spike looked sexy no matter what he did. “Glad I was able to make you speechless,” Spike said.
Justin playfully hit Spike’s chest, “Oh, shut up, William.”
Spike couldn’t hide his surprise. “William?”
Justin nodded. “Yeah, I, um, thought I’d call you something nobody else does. Do you mind?”
“No. I just haven’t heard that name since I was turned and became Spike. But I like it coming from you.”
“Good,” Justin whispered as he leaned down for another kiss.

LIBERTY AVENUE DINER
It was three in the morning and Brian was sitting at his usual booth with Emmett, Ted, Michael and Ben. He couldn’t help but think about Justin and this Spike person. Justin claimed Spike would never hurt him, but why couldn’t Tom find anything out about Spike? Something was off about the whole situation and Brian didn’t like it.
“I wonder how Justin’s date is going,” commented Emmett.
Michael shrugged, “Who cares?”
“Spike is hot,” said Ted. Ted wished that he could attract the attention of a guy that looked like Spike, but he guessed that he was doomed to be alone.
“Yeah, but…” started Michael.
Ben cut off Michael’s rant by gently taking Michael’s hand and whispering, “Not now.”
A red-headed man walked by their table and gave Brian a once-over. The man gave a subtle nod of his head toward the diner door. Brian gave a slight smile and got up. “See you guys later,” he said as he followed the man outside.
Emmett sighed. He knew that Brian missed Justin, and if the brunet would just get his head out of his ass long enough, Brian would realize why Justin had left. All Emmett could do was hope that his two friends would find each other again and be happy. Of course, Emmett could always help them along.
