Lean On Me
Chapter Ten
Justin couldn't believe it. Brian had said the L word to him!
When Brian felt Justin tense up, he silently cursed himself. It was too soon.
How could he be so stupid?
"Justin, I--" Brian didn't get to finish because he suddenly found himself with
an armful of young blond.
Justin looked deep into Brian's eyes. "I love you,
too," he said with a watery smile.
Brian couldn't help but sigh with relief. "You do?"
"Oh, yeah. I think I fell in love with you the moment I saw you. Cliché, I know.
But true."
"It might be cliché, but it's true for me, too. I knew when I saw you that you
were different from the other men. I'm not going to lie to you, Jus, there have
been more than enough men in my past."
Justin nodded. "I figured," he said in a soft voice.
"But I never felt for any of them what I feel for you. And after I've only known
you a short time."
"Same here." Justin bit his bottom lip in thought. 'Should I tell him?' he asked
himself. Brian deserved to know, but what would the brunet say? Think? Would
Brian still want him? Or, would he find him vile? Disgusting?
After a moment, his mind was made up. If they were going to have a...
whatever... they had to have honesty. Letting out a deep breath, he said,
"Brian, we need to talk."
Brian frowned and raised an eyebrow at Justin's serious tone. "Okay."
"Okay, we're starting a relationship? Right?"
"That's the plan," stated Brian.
"Well, to do that, there needs to be honesty. And, I haven't been honest about
something."
Brian kept quiet, waiting for what Justin had to say. Figuring it was better to
do it quickly, like pulling off a Band-Aid, Justin continued, "I'm a
prostitute."
Brian blinked, sure he had heard wrong. "A what?"
Justin swallowed hard. "A prostitute. I sleep with men for money." In a rush, he
added, "I have to, Brian. Please don't hate me!"
"Tell me the whole story."
"Remember when I told you that my mother was away on business?" Brian nodded.
"Well, that's not true. She's a drug addict. A bad one. She does this sometimes,
quite a bit actually. Skips town for a while, leaving me in charge of the
younger ones. She doesn't leave me hardly any money at all. I have to be able to
pay the bills, buy food and pay a babysitter. This was all I could think of to
make the money I needed. You know a high school student wouldn't make enough."
"But you told me you're a virgin."
"I am... sort of. I've never let anyone, besides you, inside me. But I have
fucked guys." Justin was crying. "Please, Brian, don't hate me. This hasn't
ended before it's really started has it?"
Brian stared at Justin, not saying a word.
