Angel Eyes
Chapter 3
On the outside Brian was the picture of calm, on the inside he was a ball of
jumbled nerves. Sometimes surviving one of Deb’s dinners was hard enough. The
whole gang would be there so Justin could officially meet them. There were still
unresolved issues with Mikey. He had also heard from a little nelly bird that
detective Horvath would be joining them. He was happy for Deb but Justin didn’t
need to be reminded of the violence done against him. To top it all off Justin’s
mother would be there to see it all, which always held the possibility of going
bad. Brian held Justin’s hand as he walked up to the door.
He turned to Justin. “Wait here, I’ll go in and make sure the lights are dim
enough. Then you can come right in.”
“Ok.” Justin lifted up on his toes and pecked Brian on the lips.
As soon as Brian walked in everyone pounced on him about Justin’s whereabouts.
“He’s outside. I wanted to make sure the lights were dim enough for him. Be
forewarned his mother is with him.”
“You tell him to get his perky butt in here,” Deb commanded.
Brian stuck his head out the door. “Justin, your public awaits.”
As soon as Justin stepped through the door he was grabbed up in a big hug by
Debbie.
“It’s good to have you here, Sunshine.”
“Thanks, Deb.”
“Well, don’t just stand there everyone wants to see you, come in.”
As Justin moved further into the room he heard Deb greet his mother. Justin
wanted to guess to see if he could pick out who everyone was. He spotted Lindsay
with Gus and another woman who had to be Melanie. Gus raced over and tackled
Justin’s knees. Justin bent down and picked Gus up, giving him a hug and a kiss
on the cheek.
“Hey, Gus, you happy to see me?”
“Yeah, where’s Logan?”
“He stayed home. He wanted to finish the crossword puzzle in the New York
Times.”
That cracked the boy up. With Gus in his arms he introduced Gus to his mother.
She took one of his little hands. “Well hello, Gus, I’ve heard so much about
you.” She turned to Brian. “He looks so much like you.”
Brian blushed at the compliment. “Thanks.”
Justin set Gus down. Instead of going off to play he stuck close to Justin and
his daddy.
“Hello, Lindsay.”
“Justin, this is Melanie. I don’t believe you ever got to meet her.”
They shook hands.
“So you’re Justin. I must say I’m surprised. What’s a smart good looking kid
doing with an asshole like that?”
Justin held one of Gus’ hands in his. He thought it was horrible that Melanie
would say such things in front of Gus.
“I don’t know who you mean. Brian is a wonderful man.” Justin moved around the
room. He figured out who Emmett was. The shockingly colorful clothes gave him
away. Justin gave Emmett a hug.
“Hey, baby, how’d you guess it was me?”
Justin laughed. “Brian warned me about the brightness of your clothes.”
Justin noticed a boring and somewhat plain man he guessed to be Ted.
“Ted?”
“That’s me.” They shook hands.
Justin saw a pouting beady eyed man and didn’t even have to guess that it was
Michael. He took in the man’s appearance and wasn’t impressed. Justin nodded in
his direction. There was a big tall man next to him who he figured was his
partner Ben. Justin said hello and was a bit surprised when Ben pulled him in
for a hug much to Michael’s horror and dismay. He greeted Vic and recognized
detective Horvath from the night of the attack. Everyone was happy to see him.
Everyone gathered in the living room, as it was much too crowded to eat in the
kitchen. Deb was in her element when she had big dinners. Everyone more or less
found a comfortable spot. Deb and Vic were both serving up huge slices of
lasagna. Justin sat next to Brian with Gus between them on the floor which
suited them just fine. The women took the couch and the rest were left to fight
over what chairs were left.
Emmett smiled brightly. “So, Justin, were we all how you pictured us?”
Justin laughed. “Um, more or less.”
“I’m so happy for you, baby. What good is finding your prince if you don’t get
to see him?”
Justin nodded his agreement as he helped cut up Gus’ food for him. Jennifer
couldn’t help but smile as she watched Justin with Gus and Brian. They did look
wonderfully happy together. She could feel the warmth in the room. Justin seemed
to get along with just about everyone even though most were so much older than
him. She had always wished Justin would have friends more his age but realized
it was hard for Justin to make new friends. All of Brian’s friends seemed nice
enough. She did get a bad vibe from the weasel like man though.
“So, Justin,” Vic asked, “how are you faring in the seeing world?”
Justin smiled. “Not too bad. It’s going to take a while to readjust but I
couldn’t be happier.” Justin turned to detective Horvath. “Um, detective
Horvath?”
“I’m off duty; you can call me Carl.”
“Ok, what happened with Ethan? No one’s really told me. I’d like to know.”
“He’s been arrested for assault with intent to harm. I wish there was more we
could pin on him. He’ll have to pay a huge fine and spend a year in jail.”
Justin gaped at the man. “Only a year?”
Brian cursed under his breath; he knew it would only be a light sentence. They
should be grateful it was that long instead of him being released after a few
weeks. He ran a shaky hand through his hair. Brian rested a hand on Justin’s
back before he asked his question.
“Do you think he could come after Justin again?”
“Anything is possible.”
“Would it even help to get a restraining order?” Brian wondered.
“Every bit of protection helps,” Carl stated.
Brian nodded. “Then some time in the week we’ll come down and fill one out.”
Ted put in his two cents. “Well, at least the odds are slightly better; at least
you’ll be able to see him coming.”
Brian shot Ted a dirty look. “Gee, thanks for that comforting thought.”
“Could I ask why this boy attacked my son in the first place?” Jennifer asked.
Melanie was all too eager to fill her in. “He was someone that was disgruntled
by the fact Brian turned him down.”
Brian stared daggers into Mel while Justin felt the sting of betrayal.
“Mel,” Lindsay whispered.
Justin tried to smooth things over. “Mom, he obviously had mental problems; he’s
sick and needs to get good mental help.”
Ben was the one to move the conversation on to safer topics.
“So, Justin, what are your plans now?”
Justin was silent for a minute. “My plans, hmm, I don’t really know. The last
few days have been so overwhelming I haven’t really thought about it. I’m
getting ready to release my latest children’s book. Oh and I just got word that
they are going to make my books in braille also.” He beamed with pride.
Brian pulled him in for a celebratory kiss. Gus giggled between them.
Jennifer asked with interest, “What is your new book about?”
Justin blushed. “It’s about a handsome prince discovering a peasant boy, and
they go off on grand adventures.”
Brian murmured, “Don’t put ideas in my head.”
Justin chuckled. “I’m dedicating the book to Gus and Brian. I’m going to make
sure Gus gets the very first copy.”
“Oh Justin, that’s so sweet of you.” Lindsay smiled.
Justin got up excusing himself to go to the bathroom. Brian tweaked his butt as
he got up. Justin turned and gave him a smile. He ran into Michael in the
hallway.
“Hey, Michael.”
“Hey,” Michael grunted just barely.
“Look, I’m sorry you were accused of hurting me. Do you think we can just put
all this unpleasantness behind us and start over?” When Michael didn’t say
anything right away Justin continued, “It’s not fair to Brian to put him in the
middle like this. He shouldn’t have to choose.”
Michael heaved a heavy sigh. “Fine, for Brian’s sake I’ll try to be civil.”
Justin arched his brow. “Well that’s a start,” Justin murmured as he continued
on down the hallway.
While Justin was gone Emmett went to speak to Brian.
“I thought you might want this back.” Emmett handed him the spare key to the
loft. “I know you’d kill me if I lost it.”
“Thanks, I had the locks changed anyway.”
“Really, because of Michael?”
“No, because I think it’s time. You know how everyone just saw fit to come
waltzing into the loft whenever they felt like it. It’s Justin’s home now too.”
Emmett put a hand to his chest. “A lady always knocks.”
Brian chuckled. “You might be the exception.”
Brian felt a huge weight lift off his chest when Jennifer went back to
California. He knew it did Justin good to see his mom so he had endured the
visit. The woman just had a way of making him feel even guiltier than he
normally did. There was a bit of an awkward moment at the airport when she
hugged him goodbye and told him to take care of her son. Maybe things weren’t as
bad as he originally thought.
Brian and Justin decided to have a quiet evening at home. Lord of the Rings was
on tv. Justin had never seen it when it first came out so Brian insisted they
watch it together. Justin went to the kitchen to make popcorn before the movie
started. He was excited about seeing the movie. There had been so much hype
about it he wanted to know what he had missed.
Justin cuddled up next to Brian on the sofa. Logan lay sprawled out at their
feet on the rug. Justin was in awe of the beautiful landscape of New Zealand.
During some of the intense battle scenes he hid his head in Brian’s shoulder.
Brian preferred they make out.
At one point Justin mused, “Ok, I could be wrong but I think Sam and Frodo are
fucking, no matter how hard Sam tries to play it straight.”
Brian huffed a laugh. “Yeah, even when they are faced with certain death I’m
sure they had time for a quick fuck in the bushes.”
Justin giggled while munching on popcorn. A soft look came over Justin’s face
when he saw the elfin palace. Brian smiled and pulled Justin closer to him when
he noticed Justin shedding a few tears over Aragorn and the elfin princess
professing their love. Justin was such a romantic. They shared their own
passionate kiss.
Brian nudged Justin. “Hey, quit ogling Aragorn.”
Justin giggled. “Hey, the man is hot, but you’re hotter.” He kissed Brian’s
cheek.
“What is it with you and hot older men?”
“I don’t know. Probably the same thing as you eyeing that little blonde elf. You
are so caught.”
Brian growled, “Good thing I have my own blonde nymph.”
When the movie was over Justin clicked off the tv. Justin settled himself on
Brian’s lap making himself comfortable.
“Brian, can we talk?”
Brian tensed; that phrase was usually followed by bad news. If Justin wasn’t
currently sitting on him he’d head straight for the booze, maybe that was
Justin’s plan.
“Uh, sure.”
Justin smiled and caressed Brian’s face. “Relax, don’t look so tense. I just
wanted to discuss something with you.”
“Go on.”
“Well, at dinner Ben got me thinking. I don’t have any plans for what’s next, my
future.”
Brian rubbed Justin’s arm. “You don’t have to be in any rush, you just got your
sight back. You deserve to take it easy for a while.”
“I know and I will take it easy to a certain degree.” Justin hesitated. “I was
thinking now that I can see I’d really like to attend art school. I never got to
go. It was one thing I hated about being blind.”
Brian caressed Justin’s hip. “If that’s what you want to do then you should do
it.”
Brian’s heart clenched and his insides flopped wondering if Justin wanted to go
to college back home or even NY where the better art schools were. Now that
Justin could see, Brian was even easier to read. Justin saw the fear and panic
on his partner’s face. He looped his arms around Brian’s neck.
“I know what you’re thinking and don’t, ok. I’m not going to leave you. Why do
you always assume I’m going to leave at the drop of a hat? I’m here to stay.”
“Justin, be realistic. You should go to the best art school there is; you owe it
to yourself and to your art.”
“I’ll go to the best. The best in Pittsburgh because that’s where my partner is
whom I love very much and couldn’t be without. What’s the best art school in
Pittsburgh?”
“Justin, are you sure?” Justin arched a brow. “PIFA.”
“PIFA it is then.” Justin groaned. “It’s kind of late to apply. Think I can
still get in?”
Brian hugged Justin closer. “If you’re sure then I’m sure some exceptions can be
made. I’ll help you any way I can. I’ll get you an application and I’m sure
Lindsay can help get your art work in order. They’d be fools not to accept you.”
Justin nodded. “Yeah, there’s just one small problem.”
“What’s that?”
“I can’t afford to go.” Brian started to open his mouth but Justin stopped him
pressing fingers to his lips. “I know what you’re going to say. I’m not going to
take your money so don’t even offer it. I want to do this on my own.” Justin
shook his head. “A school like PIFA is a lot of money and I don’t have nearly
enough.”
Brian had a smirky smile on his face. “Can I say something without you queening
out?”
Justin gave him a look that said ‘I’m listening.’
“If you won’t accept my money, then I might be able to get you a scholarship.
Give me a few days and I’ll check into it.”
Justin frowned. “A scholarship, but wouldn’t they all be taken by now?”
“Not necessarily, I’ll have to check into it. If that falls through I hope you’d
reconsider me giving you the money. It could be a loan if you feel that strongly
about it. I don’t want something as trivial as money holding you back,
especially when I can help.”
Justin nodded. “Ok, but only as a last resort and it will be a loan. I know
we’re partners but I really wouldn’t feel right if you paid for my school.”
“I do understand, Justin, and I admire you for wanting to do this on your own.”
Justin wrinkled his nose. “I do know when to ask for help, I just don’t like it
very much when I have to.”
Brian chuckled. “Me either. There’s one other thing we need to talk about.”
“Oh what’s that? Has Logan been leaving his toys scattered around the loft
again?”
Brian laughed tickling Justin’s side.
“No, I seem to know another blonde who’s messier. Keys to the new lock, who gets
one? Everyone has a habit of just barging in whenever they feel like it. This is
your home now too, and I want you to feel comfortable here. In the past Mikey
and Lindz had a key. I’m not going to give Mikey one. What do you think about
Lindsay?”
Justin shrugged. “Well, I know you gave her a key for emergencies and she is
Gus’ mother. Honestly though, why would she need a key? If it was an emergency
and you weren’t here what good would it do?”
“An excellent point, then the only ones to have keys are you and me.”
“Brian, I don’t want to cause trouble with you and Lindsay. If it makes her feel
better then give her a key.”
“And run the risk of her walking in while we’re fucking or naked. Nah, she’s
gotten enough free shows over the years.”
Justin gaped at him. “She’s caught you naked?”
Brian rolled his eyes. “Oh, don’t get me started. She’s caught me nine inches
deep.”
Justin’s eyes widened then he blushed. He definitely didn’t want Lindsay
watching them fuck. He felt Brian caressing his ass through his pants and it was
turning him on. Justin jumped up off Brian’s lap then tugged Brian to his feet.
Justin all but shoved Brian into the bedroom.
Brian stopped off at Cynthia’s desk as soon as he arrived at Vangard.
“Tell Vance I’d like to speak with him. I have a few phone calls to make, give
me twenty minutes then you can do a rundown of the day with a nice hot cup of
coffee just the way I like it.”
Cynthia smirked. “Sure thing, boss.”
Cynthia buzzed him ten minutes later informing him Vance would see him. He was
taking a call and made Vance wait an extra five minutes before he went to see
him.
“So, Brian, you wanted to see me?”
“Yes, if you’ll hear me out I’d like to pitch an idea to you.”
“I’m listening.”
“I did some checking this morning into Vangard’s scholarship fund. I also
noticed that it wasn’t awarded to anyone this year.”
“Go on.”
“Well, I have a suggestion for a candidate. Justin Taylor.”
“Isn’t that your boyfriend?”
“Partner. I wouldn’t suggest him if he didn’t deserve it. I’m not asking for
personal favors either. Justin is a damn great artist who wants to go to art
school.”
“I thought he was blind?”
Brian bristled. “He was, there was an accident and he got his vision back. If
you want to see some samples of his work I’ll get them. You’ve got nothing to
lose and everything to gain. Vangard funds his education with an added
internship. When he graduates you’ve got a brilliant new artist for your art
department.”
“I’ll think about it. Bring in some of Justin’s work and I’ll let you know by
the end of the week.”
“You do that,” Brian said, confidently walking out of Vance’s office.
Brian walked back to his office feeling triumphant.
Justin spent part of the day looking at the PIFA website. As art schools go it
was exactly what he’d had in mind. Now if only he could get accepted. He went
through the pieces that he had in storage at the loft and set a few
possibilities aside. He knew he would have to submit something more recent.
Justin went over to the stereo and put on some soft music to help get inspired.
Justin set up a canvas and spread out a drop cloth on the wooden floor. His
paints were lined up, uncapped and at the ready. He closed his eyes for a moment
taking in the music. His hand lifted as if of its own accord, then he began to
create. It felt wonderful to use a brush again.
When Brian came home from work Justin was still painting. Brian stood back and
just watched him for a minute. Justin looked so at peace creating his work of
art. Brian walked up slowly behind him and whispered a ‘hey’ so as not to
startle him. Justin turned around smiling brightly.
“Brian, you’re home already? Geez, where did the time go? I had an undeniable
urge to paint.”
“I can see that.”
“Go change, I want to kiss you but you’d kill me if I get paint on your Armani.”
Brian smirked sauntering up to the bedroom to change. When he came back down he
was wearing an old t and worn jeans with the top button undone. Justin pulled
Brian into his arms for a deep kiss. Justin moaned as Brian cupped his ass
giving it a firm squeeze.
“I can’t paint with a hard on.”
“Could I perhaps persuade you to take a break?”
Justin flashed him a cocky grin. “Mmm, maybe later.”
Brian studied Justin’s latest painting. “That’s amazing; it’s really good.”
“Why, thank you, kind sir.” Justin got out another canvas, this one intended for
Brian.
“Care to try your hand at painting?”
Brian snorted, “The only thing I’ve ever painted was a wall.”
“Well then, there’s a first time for everything.” Justin placed a paint brush in
Brian’s hand. Brian looked at it like it was a foreign object.
“Justin, I’m not an artist.”
“Oh, you’re more artistic than you give yourself credit for. Come on, it’ll be
fun. If you don’t like how it turns out we can tell people Logan painted it.
He’s a great scapegoat, he’d never tell.”
Logan barked from the other side of the room.
Justin giggled. “I think that means he’d rat you out if he could speak English.”
Justin stepped up beside Brian. He put his arm around his waist and lightly held
his right hand.
“Listen to the music, Brian. Paint what you hear, paint the music.”
“How the fuck do you paint music?” Brian mumbled.
“You saw mine, that’s exactly what I was doing. Every music swell has a color or
an arch. Just relax and let yourself go.”
Brian stood there listening to the music for a minute. He could feel Justin
guiding his hand to the canvas. Together the swirls of paint began to mean
something. When Justin felt Brian was ready, he let go of his hand and stood
back with a little smile on his face. He quietly moved over to his canvas and
finished up his creation. Justin was content to watch Brian paint. Secretly it
was turning him on. He shifted to make room for his stiffening cock. Brian was
every artist’s dream and Justin knew it was just a matter of time before he had
sketch books filled with Brian’s naked form.
As soon as Brian set the paintbrush down Justin nearly pounced on him.
“God, I need you, Brian, right now. Watching you paint got me so hot.”
Justin kissed him fiercely as he tugged Brian up the stairs to the bedroom
frantically tugging at Brian’s clothes.
“I would have taken up painting a long time ago if I knew it was going to get
you this hot.”
Justin tore at Brian’s clothes with an animal-like passion. They tumbled to the
bed, limbs all entangled. Justin kissed Brian hard and hungrily while they both
tugged at the other’s pants. They needed to feel the closeness of skin on skin
contact. Their clothes landed in a messy crumpled pile by the side of the bed.
Justin took a few deep breaths to calm himself down. He wanted to draw out the
moment till they were both trembling with need.
Justin settled himself on Brian’s thighs. As he gazed into Brian’s eyes he
leaned forward and gave him a sweet kiss that lingered a little. When he pulled
back he let his hands explore Brian’s chest. He licked the pads of his fingers
then tortured Brian’s nipples till they were hard peaks. Brian hissed kneading
Justin’s hips with his big strong hands. Brian slid him closer bringing their
weeping cocks into contact. They gasped and moaned at the intense pleasure.
Justin rubbed himself against Brian for a few seconds before he moved away. He
knew he could get off just by rubbing up against Brian. Justin had something
epic planned for the evening. He caressed Brian’s chest with light touches.
Justin leaned over seductively to get the lube out of the nightstand drawer.
Brian watched everything he did. Justin squirted lube onto his fingers and
warmed it. With a shy smile he reached around behind him and inserted one
finger. His eyes widened and his mouth fell open in a little gasp at the
intrusion. Brian ran his hands up and down Justin’s thighs while he watched.
Precum was trailing down his dick freely slicking his shaft. Justin added
another finger. He rubbed the tip of his finger over his prostate causing him to
cry out and whimper. Brian’s chest was heaving at the erotic display. When
Justin felt he was prepared enough he grasped Brian’s dick slicking it with his
precum and leftover lube.
Justin got up on his knees and moved closer. Brian held his dick steady and
lined it up with Justin’s relaxed and ready hole. Justin slowly began to squat
on Brian’s dick. Justin mewled as the head entered him. He took Brian’s dick
within him deliberately slow, savoring every inch that filled him up. He clasped
hands with Brian linking their fingers together and squeezing them tight. Justin
used his muscles every so often to give Brian’s dick a hug. Brian all but purred
like a big jungle cat.
“God, Justin, you feel so good, so amazing.”
The sensations felt a hundred times better since there was no barrier between
them. Brian never thought in a million years he would allow this to happen but
things had changed. Somehow he changed. He wanted Justin and only Justin. He
couldn’t get enough of the blonde boy in his arms. Once Justin was sitting fully
impaled on Brian’s lap, he clenched his muscles and leaned forward to place a
sweet kiss on Brian’s lips.
Justin grasped both of Brian’s hands and used them for balance and leverage as
he slowly began to lift up using his muscles to milk Brian’s cock. He took deep
steadying breaths to keep in control. Brian’s eyes kept fluttering shut at the
intense passion. His dick was being gripped in a velvety vice of pure pleasure.
Justin’s movements were agonizingly slow.
“Angel, are you trying to kill me?”
“Mmm, what a way to go.”
“Justin, I want to cum.” Brian was on the verge of whining.
“You will, later, just relax and enjoy.”
Justin was a bit surprised that he had been able to hold out as long as he had
at the pace he was going, instead of all out bouncing on Brian’s turgid cock. It
was much more fun this way, to take each other to their limits and back again. A
light sheen of sweat covered their bodies. Justin felt the ache in his full
balls; he groaned at the pleasure/pain. He slapped Brian’s hand away when he
tried to touch his dick.
“I want you to make me cum without touching my dick.”
The gold in Brian’s eyes flashed with heated desire. That turned him on even
more. Brian parted Justin cheeks as he sank down once more on his lap. Opening
Justin up like that gave him an even deeper penetration. Justin gasped and cried
out. He slowly ground himself on Brian’s lap. Brian’s pubes tickled his bottom.
Brian helped guide Justin up and down his cock. Justin’s body knew when he’d had
enough play time. He quickened his pace, bouncing and swiveling on Brian’s dick.
The loft was filled with their passionate cries.
“Brian, I … almost, cum with me.”
“God, Jus… Now!”
As Justin sat down hard on Brian’s lap, Brian came hard with a bone jarring
intensity. His cum was like rocket fuel. Brian blasted Justin’s insides with his
hot cum. Justin’s breath hitched and he cried out as he arched his back. He
drenched Brian’s chest with stream after stream of cum. He never thought he’d
stop. As the last few dribbles ran down his dick he collapsed on top of Brian’s
chest not caring about the sticky mess. They held each other still trembling
after their loving. Justin clenched his muscles tight.
“Brian, stay in me as long as you can.”
“Ok, baby.” Brian ran his fingers through Justin’s damp hair and caressed his
back. Justin only fussed a little when Brian finally slipped out of him. Brian
rolled Justin off of him and went to the bathroom for a warm rag. He cleaned
himself off then came back and lovingly cleaned up Justin as well. Brian’s
stomach flip-flopped at Justin’s devastating smile. Brian slipped on his
midnight blue robe and tied the belt loosely at his slim waist. He playfully
tossed Justin his, hitting him in the chest.
“How about I call out for a pizza?”
Justin raised an eyebrow and looked over at the clock. “Living dangerously I
see. What about no carbs after seven?”
Brian rolled his eyes, his tongue going to his cheek. “Fuck the rules. Besides,
I just shot nearly a gallon of cum up your ass. Us slightly older boys need to
keep up our strength too.”
Justin fell back in bed giggling. Brian went down to the living room to place
their order. Justin came down in his violet robe. Brian loved how it brought out
the violet hue in his eyes. Justin was sitting on the sofa ruffling Logan’s fur.
Brian sat down beside him and gathered him up on his lap.
“I spent some of the day checking out PIFA on line. It’s a great school, Brian.
I hope I can get in.”
Brian caressed Justin’s thigh over the silky robe. “I may have come up with a
solution to your money dilemma.”
“Oh?”
“Yeah Vangard has a scholarship program. I had to do some checking around and I
found out it hadn’t been awarded this year. Knowing Vance if I hadn’t called him
on it, it wouldn’t have been awarded to anyone, so I highly recommended you.”
Justin fiddled with the tie on his robe. “Brian, I don’t want favoritism or
special consideration.”
“I know. I told him that. I do know you, Justin. Vance is going to ‘think’ it
over. I may have to borrow a few samples of your art. This is your best bet of
getting what you want. Plus you’ll have future options to intern at Vangard, and
more than likely a position in the art department if you want it. I don’t know
what field you want to go into.”
Justin sighed. “I think I’ll just take it one day at a time for a while. The
plans that I did have were destroyed the moment I lost my sight. I feel like I’m
starting all over again. Ehh, it’s not so bad. I guess it could always be
worse.”
Brian hugged Justin closer to him. “I had Cynthia get you an application. We can
fill it out together after we get some food into you.”
At the mention of food Justin’s stomach grumbled. When the pizza arrived Justin
got the plates and Brian set up the pillows on the floor. They each grabbed a
slice and settled back against each other. Logan crept up next to Brian putting
his big furry head on Brian’s thigh. Logan knew how to lay it on thick and
appeal to his human’s weaknesses. Justin snorted and rolled his eyes. Logan had
Brian wrapped around his dog claw. As Brian ate, he fed Logan bits of crust, ham
and pepperoni. Logan wouldn’t touch the peppers but he wouldn’t say no to a bite
of cheese.
