Two of a Kind

Ryan came home from work and heard humming from the bedroom. He smiled to himself 'cause he knew Seth was in a good mood - he only hummed when he felt good.

"Hey."

"Oh, hi! Is it that late already? How was your day? My day was awesome! I went shopping and got a lot of good stuff," Seth said, sitting on the bed taking off labels.
Ryan stared at his partner incredulously. "What is that?"                          

"What?"

"That thing on your head."

"It's a hat."

"But it's… pink. Very pink."

"So what?"

"Seth, pink."

"Oh come on, Ryan. The modern guy can wear pink. Besides, there were also hats that had rhinestones on them but I left them in the store," Seth said.

Ryan rolled his eyes.

"I do look cute, don't I?" Seth asked tilting his head to one side.

Ryan looked at Seth. 'He does look kinda cute,' Ryan thought and raised his eyebrow at Seth.

Seth smiled. "And it matches my mittens."

"Mittens?"

"Yeah, look!" Seth said showing Ryan a pair of pink mittens. "They're so lovely and so warm. We're gonna need them in Toronto, it's cold there, you know."

"Oh dear God."

"I got you a hat and a pair of mittens too."

"You got me a pink hat?" Ryan asked terrified.

"No, I was afraid you wouldn't wear it - besides I think pink suits my dark features better. I got you black one."

"Thank God."

"Here."

Ryan looked at the hat which had the same pattern as Seth's. "Do our hats have to match?!"

"Of course! What would Canadians think of us if we had hats that wouldn't go together? Sometimes I'm not sure what goes on in that pretty head of yours," Seth said rolling his eyes.

Ryan sighed.

"Oh!" Seth exclaimed like he had a big epiphany or something.

"What?" Ryan asked dreading the worst.

"We need to get woolen socks too!"

Ryan dramatically feigned fainting on the bed.
