Prey

He knows their kind well - eager hunters wanting to toy with their prey. They wield their microphones like weapons and hone their words to inflict maximum damage. Wearing practiced smiles they carve away pieces of him, each wanting a token, a souvenir of their kill.

Their cameras stand ready to record his every weakness, expose his every flaw. Falter once, show any hesitation and they'll be on him like rabid dogs, dissecting him then losing interest when they cut away for commercial.

He smiles and plays their game, knowing he can't win. He hides the wounds under fabulous clothes.
